Funeral service for Gregory Stinson, 59, of Opelika, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Garden Hills Cemetery, 1218 Frederick Road, Opelika, AL, 36801, Elder Clayton Alexander will officiate.

Mr. Stinson, who passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025 at his home in Opelika, Alabama, was born June 3, 1966, in Macon County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, October 17, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

He leaves to cherish his memory: two children, Dontavious (Christy) Miles and Gregory Stinson both of Opelika, AL; mother, Selena Bass of Auburn, AL; a devoted companion, Sandra Miles of Opelika, AL; two grandchildren, Jaquain Holland and Jakayla Ingram both of Opelika, AL; one sister, Greta (Jefferson) Payne of Opelika, AL; two brothers, Craig Stinson of Auburn, AL and Eric (Claudette) Stinson of Opelika, AL; one aunt, Sandra Stinson Williams of Opelika, AL; three uncles, James (Mary) Stinson, Henry Stinson both of Opelika, AL and Morrell (Betty) Stinson of Auburn, AL; three great aunts, Jeanette Welch, Cassie Singleton both of Opelika, AL and Odessa Stinson of Auburn, AL; two special cousins, Saundra "Keisha" Williams of Opelika, AL and Milo "Cree" Stinson of Auburn, AL; five special friends, Alonzo Williams of Salem, AL, Lawrence Strickland, Greg Glover, William “Bud” Ashmore and Elizabeth “Liz” Thomas all of Opelika, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
