Funeral service for Deitrick Mathews, 49, of Auburn, AL, will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 18, 2025, at True Deliverance Holiness Church, 936 N. Donahue Drive, Auburn, AL, 36830 with interment in Town Creek Cemetery, 1150 South Gay Street, Auburn, AL, 36832, Bishop Nolan Torbert, Pastor, Bishop W. Channing Jackson, Eulogist.
Mr. Mathews, who passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama, was born August 26, 1976, in Montgomery County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Friday, October 17, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Mr. Mathews will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Naiah “Toni” Mathews of Auburn, AL; his children, Neiahjua Tucker of Birmingham, AL, Noyajua Tucker of Auburn, AL and Regan White of Los Angeles, CA; his mother, Sylvia Mathews and second mother, Dr. Benitha D. Mathews both of Montgomery, AL; two sisters, Tiffanee Mathews and Sharmin Thomas both of Montgomery, AL; one brother, Shederick (Vanessa) Mathews of Charlotte, NC; his grandmother, Anna B Glover of Enterprise, AL; mother-in-law, Ocie Hinds of Auburn, AL; brother-in-law, Elais Reynolds of Detroit, MI; three sisters-in-law, Natwinda (Kedren) Hinds-Felder of Montgomery, AL, Nacquata (Walter Bernard) Hinds-Lee and Niesha (Robert) Hinds-Copeland both of Auburn, AL; three nephews, Kendall Mathews of Montgomery, AL, Tejek (Kendra) Hinds of Auburn, AL and Mars Vaughn Mathews of Charlotte, NC; five nieces, Nascri Hinds, Nacia Lee, Nabiya Copeland all of Auburn, AL, Londyn Mathews and Aaliyah Thomas both of Montgomery, AL. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever remember Deitrick’s joyful spirit, generous heart, and inspiring presence.
