Wilbert Allen Reaves, 69 of Eden, NC passed Wednesday, October 15, 2025. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 2025 at Cornerstone Christian Center, 516 N. Scales Street, Reidsville, NC. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the start of the service (1:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.)

Public viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2025 at Perry Spencer Funeral Home, 511 Henry Street, Eden, NC. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Wilbert Allen Reaves, transitioned from labor to reward on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 leaving behind his love and kindness that will be unforgettable to all that knew him. He was born July 18, 1956 to the late Wilbert Arthur and Anne Mae Howard Reaves in Reidsville NC.

Wilbert was a graduate of Reidsville Senior High School in 1974. He attended Rockingham Community College, Wentworth, NC where he studied Business. He entered the US Army in 1975 where he served as an E-4 Specialist until 1978.

He was a member of Galilee Pentecostal Holiness Church, Reidsville, NC for 30 years where he was a soloist with various choirs. In 2024 he joined Sprit Truth Church of Worship of Reidsville, NC where he continued to become an active member in the church. He loved singing God’s goodness with the Bethel Male Chorus and enjoyed fishing in his spare time. But his most important hobby was “Loving Mrs. Reaves”.

Wilbert was employed at Carolina Commercial Heat Treating for 35 years and McLaurin Funeral Home for 33 years, both of Reidsville, NC. He then worked for 3 years at Woodard Funeral Home in Greensboro, NC and he was employed with Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC until his passing.

Wilbert leaves to cherish his memory and his legacy: his loving wife, whom he loved unconditionally, Cynthia Sendy Millner Reaves of the home. Two children; James “Peter Pan” Winchester and Jackie Percell (Greg) both of Reidsville, NC. Sisters; Gevondic Costner, Loretta Watkins, Velma Davis, Patricia Fountain, Evon Thomas, Darlene Stokes, Darlene Settle, Gloria Lee and Detris Simpson, Brothers; Michael Mooney Stubblefield (Beverly), Min. Lawrence Costner (Ingrid), Paul Pritchell (LaVern), Elder Jeffery Davis and Kenneth Irving.

Godchildren; that he loved and cherished; Jamaal Davis, Jeremy Davis, April Jefferies (Lionel), Jamica Fowler (Javon), Lil Kennedy A’Zuram, Jeremy Perkins (Vanessa), Jeremaine, Jerome Perkins,

Avril Stanley, God Grandchildren: Jordan Davis, Jeremy Davis, II, Davis Fowler, Joshua Davis, Lindsey Davis, Desmond Fowler, Jaxon Davis.

Special cousins; Elna Smith, Annette Alston, Carla McRae, Keith Alston, Sabre Staples, Velma Gurell. Fourteen nieces, seven nephews. Special friends; Ma’Lana McDaniel and Reginald Withers.

He was also preceded in death by: his brothers; Ralph Clanton, James Reaves and Earlie Reaves, Sisters; Willie P. Bethel and Annie Reaves, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
