Dianne Andrea Simmonds-Peoples
August 26, 1966 — October 13, 2025

Mrs. Dianne Andrea Simmonds-Peoples was born August 26, 1966, in Kingston, Jamaica to the parents, Hickman Simmons and Jean Chrystie Brown. Dianne answered the call by her Heavenly Father to end this temporal life to join life eternal on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Tristar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dianne accepted Christ at an early age and was united with Providence Baptist Church and later with Union Grove of Cleveland, Ohio and after relocating to Nashville she joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Dianne attended Cleveland Public Schools and was a graduate of John Adams High School in the class of 1985. She continued her education and attended Kent State University, Tiffin University and Tennessee Tech where she earned a bachelor’s in business administration and a master’s in professional studies.

She married the love of her life Marvin A. Peoples in May 2003. This beautiful love and companionship lasted for 25 years with 22 years of marriage.

Dianne was always a hard worker; she worked two jobs in her younger years. Banking and finance sector. Most recently she was employed by Tennessee Bureau of Investigation as an auditor for the Fraud Division.

In her leisure time she enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Dianne was a “foodie”, she loved to eat. When she visited New York, she especially enjoyed her aunt Lena and cousin Janet Ann’s Jamaican cooking. She will be missed greatly.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Brown.

Dianne leaves to cherish her sweet memories; her husband, Marvin A. Peoples, father, Hickman Simmons, siblings, Ludlow (Tammy) George Brown, II, Christopher, Rohan, Hickman, Jr., Michelle (Denard) and Andrea, her dear aunt Lena, uncles, Donovan and Mario, niece, Doronita, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and her dearest great nieces, Zuri and Zniya.
