James Douglas, Jr., affectionately known as “Jr.” to his family and friends, transitioned on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at the age of 68. He was a native of Monroe, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA.
James leaves to cherish his memory his daughters: Keycha Alexander-Green (Kedrick), Tina Wright, Felicia Douglas, Breanna Douglas, and Christen Douglas; his sons, Willie Earl Graham, Carlos James Brown, Junior Wright, Michael Smith, James Douglas III, and Anthony James Douglas. He is also survived by his sisters, Dorothy Jean Bennett (Gerald), Rosie Douglas Harper, Valarie Anderson, and Debra Douglas Ross; his brothers, Paul E. Douglas and Lawrence Williams (Nancy); along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Annie Lee and James Douglas, Sr.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Hall’s Celebration Center, 9348 Scenic Hwy., beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Interment: Southern Memorial Gardens. Services entrusted to Hall Davis & Son Funeral Service.
