Gloria L. McKiver, 76 of Madison, NC passed Wednesday October 22, 2025. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Church, 104 Wall Street, Madison, NC with the funeral service beginning at 12 Noon. Interment will following at Mayodan Municipal Cemetery, Mayodan, NC.

Public viewing will be held 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Perry-Spencer Funeral Home,402 Short Avenue, Madison, NC.

Gloria Mae Lowe McKiver, 76 passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2025. She was born on January 14, 1949 to the late John Lowe, Sr. and Bertha Broadnax Lowe. She lived in Madison, NC area most of her life and graduated from the former Charles Drew High School, Madison, NC.

After the passing of her father, she took on the task of caring for her sister, Lizorra and brother, Nathaniel along with her own two children. After her separation from her husband, James McKiver she worked in domestic jobs and worked for several companies to provide and make a home for her family. She made sure that everyone was taken care of and enjoyed taking trips and enjoyed the joys of life with her children, brother and sister.

She enjoyed planning the yearly Christmas luncheon for her high school mates, that everyone looked forward to attending. In her spare time, she baked, prepared meals for friends and would do anything she could for you. Gloria joined Beulah Baptist Church at an early age and was a member of the Ladies Serving Christ of the church. Also, a member of the Charles Drew Renovation and the Bethesheier #389A Order of the Eastern stars, Eden, NC.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Norma Lowe and other family members.

She leaves to cherish her memory: Two sons, Adrain Jerrold McKiver (Mary Turner-Hall, daughter, Vernetta Renea McKiver (Carlos). Her sisters; Nancy Foye, Lizzora Lowe, brothers; John Lowe, Jr.Lucille)) and Nathaniel “Boo Boo” Lowe. She also survived by a host of nephews, nieces and the love of her life, her grandchildren; Quinesha McKiver and Elijah McKiver. Her dear friend and farming partner; Terry “Spoon” Simmons along with other relatives and friends.
