MR. THOMAS LEON ALEXANDER, SR, son of Beatrice Alexander Hicks and Sonny Hicks was born May 10, 1954, in Mecklenburg County, Virginia and departed this life October 22, 2025 at his residence in Bracey, VA.

At an early age he accepted Christ, was baptized and joined St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Union Level, Virginia, where he was an acolyte. He attended East End High School where he played many sports.

Thomas was married to Lisa Chavis and to this union four children were born.

Thomas devoted his life to hard work, faith, and family. He was a master welder and worked through boilermakers for over 40 years, where he was known for his skills and knowledge in welding.

Thomas will be remembered as a dedicated father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was very generous, selfless, and a spiritual man. He always went out of his way to make sure and everyone was okay. He loved and cherished his time with his grandchildren. He was well known in his community, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Thomas leaves to cherish his memories: four children- Thomas Leon (Susan) Alexander, Jr.; Bryan O’Neal (Samantha Rogers) Alexander; Faith (Jared) Newton, and Emmanuel Alexander; his ten grandkids- Grayson Alexander, Rayna Alexander, Harmony Rogers, Maddox Alexander, Calista Alexander, Damian Newton, Drake Newton, Dakota Newton, Dixon Newton, and Delta Newton; his sister- Alice Robinson; special niece- Audrey T. Macklin; aunt- Pearline Mayo; special cousins- Lorenzo Davis, Janice Jiggetts, Linda Mayo, Arthur Lee Mayo, Jr., and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
