Bettye Jean Jefferson, 82, of Memphis, TN passed away on October 22, 2025 at Methodist Germantown Hospital in Germantown, Tennessee. Bettye was born on September 22, 1943 to Malcolm and Thelma Eugenia Young in Memphis, Tennessee. She leaves to cherish her memories her only daughter Kyla Jefferson and a host of relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 9:00am-9:55am with a Celebration of Life to follow at 10:00am both will be held at RS Lewis & Sons 2944 Walnut Grove Road, Memphis, TN 38111.

Internment will be in Elmwood Cemetery 824 S Dudley St, Memphis, TN 38104.
