Mrs. Flora L. Davis

Flora L. Davis was born July 31, 1923, in Gideon, Missouri to Eddie and Agnes Bell Williams. She was the 9th of 14 children born to this union.

Flora attended J.M. Specks School. She accepted Christ at an early age, and attended First Baptist Church in Frenchman’s’ Bayou, Arkansas. Flora worked many jobs during her years, some of which were at the Blytheville Air Force Base and LaGrange Community Hospital. Flora sang in the choir, enjoyed sewing and was always taking care of someone else’s children. She enjoyed canning, quilting and watching gospel programs, being a lover of gospel music, Flora would request songs that she loved to hear. She had a great sense of humor and was ready and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. In October of 2002, Flora became a member of I Care Christian Ministry in Chicago, Illinois, under the leadership of Pastor Lethaniel Smith.

Flora truly lived a full life until the Lord called her home on Tuesday, October 21,2025 with her two eldest daughters by her side at the age of 102. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and four of her beloved children, Preston Lee, Georgia Bell, Robert Earl, and Theodore, Jr.

Those left to cherish precious memories are her children, Mary Lee, Lydia, Margaret, Joyce, Pearlie, Valeria, James and K.C. Jr., 39 grandchildren, 113 great grandchildren,105 great- great grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Mary (Henry) Williams, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, beginning at 1:00pm at Southside Church of Christ, 1213 South Franklin Street, Blytheville, Arkansas where Brother Jesse Webb is the pastor.

Celebration of Life Services will follow the visitation at 2:00. Brother Jesse Webb and Reverend Lethaniel Smith will deliver eulogies, with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Blytheville.
