OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Opelousas Greater First Apostolic Church, 1300 Laurent St., Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Ceanna Mary Manuel, 87, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at The Carpenter House in Lafayette, LA. Interment will be held in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Rev. Gregory Leday, Sr. of Opelousas Greater First Apostolic Church will be officiating the funeral service.

Mrs. Manuel’s memories are being cherished by: her two daughters, Laura (John) Johnson and Brenda (Tony) Simon of Opelousas, LA; three sons, Elroy (Stephanie) Manuel of Opelousas, LA, Jason Manuel of Humble, TX, and Rodney Manuel of Ponchatoula, LA; three sisters, Ruby Grice and Sylvia Roberts of Opelousas, LA and Elter Andrus of Houston, TX; one brother, Albert Carmouche of Opelousas, LA; nineteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Manuel; her parents, Joseph Walter Carmouche Sr. and Elter Carmouche; five sisters, Gloria Johnson, Lula Lavergne, Barbara Brisco, Lillian Carmouche, and Mary Manuel; and four brothers, Joseph Walter Carmouche Jr., Joseph Lee Carmouche, Melvin Carmouche, and Willie Carmouche.

The family wishes to give special acknowledgments to Ford and Joseph Funeral Home and staff, The Carpenter House, and our family for their support and prayers.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. at Opelousas Greater First Apostolic Church.
