Lurlie Scruggs Clinkscales passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4th, 2025, at Pruitt Nursing Home. She was born on September 16, 1939, in Waynesboro, Georgia, to Lamar and Melrose Scruggs.

After completing her education at Waynesboro High School in 1958, Lurlie embarked on a life defined by her unwavering commitment to family and community, embracing each new chapter with grace and determination.

Her journey included a loving marriage to Willie Luckie, who preceded her in death, followed by her union with Morris Clinkscales. Lurlie's professional years were spent in dedicated service at Gracewood State School and Hospital, and upon her retirement, she devoted herself wholeheartedly to her loved ones, leaving an enduring legacy of warmth, devotion, and faithfulness that will be cherished by all who knew her.

The Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. The service will take place at 747 Sand Bar Ferry Road, Augusta, Georgia 30901.
