OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Community Chapel Church of God in Christ, 1606 W. College Ave., Opelousas, LA for Mr. Patrick Neil Bruno, 67, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Tri-Community Nursing Home in Palmetto, LA. Interment will be held in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Pastor Brian Alfred, Pastor of Mt. Olive Baptist Church will be officiating the funeral service.

Mr. Bruno’s memories are being cherished by: his son, Cashovan Newman of Opelousas, LA; one child he raised as a daughter, Kirsten Butler (Jordan) of Opelousas, LA; four brothers, John Bruno of Beaumont, TX, Kenneth Bruno of Lafayette, LA, George Bruno, Jr. of California and Cory Gotch of Carencro, LA; four sisters, Wanda Bruno of Opelousas, LA, Shala Gotch and Shanita Gotch, both of Carencro, LA and Linda Henry of Opelousas, LA; three grandchildren, L’Trevia Chevis, Jaivien Newman and Journee Francis; nieces that he loved as his daughters, Goddaughters Lakisha Bruno and Gerriona Bruno, Araiah Stoot, Heaven Lemons, La’Krishna Thomas, London Thomas and Essence Thomas; great nephews, Karter Trail and Kamyri Bruno; uncle, Rossay Bruno of Carencro, LA; and a host of relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, George Bruno, Sr. and Pearl Colomb; one son, Travis Newman; two brothers, Tony Bruno and Dexter Gotch; and one sister, Sheryl Bruno.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Community Chapel Church of God in Christ.
