Jerry Lee Laughlin, 82, passed away Tuesday, November 4th, 2025, in Denton, TX. He was a lifelong resident of Bowie, TX.

Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 15 at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.

Burial will follow at Newport Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 14th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.

Jerry was born February 6, 1943, in Levelland, Texas to Elton M. and Lorraine Laughlin. He graduated from Bowie High School in 1963 and went on to serve his country in the United States Navy. Jerry later worked as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator from Montague County Precinct 2. He spent a lifetime with JB Jordan, his best friend, tending cattle and everything else life had to offer.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Elton “Pete” Laughlin and Lorraine Laughlin; sister, Elta Laughlin Bently; children, Jerry Bob Laughlin, and Angla Kay Laughlin; and the mother of his children, Johnnie Laughlin.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, James Laughlin; daughters, Johnnett Laughlin and Bobbi Laughlin Thurston; sister, Susan Laughlin McKey; grandson, Nathen Laughlin; 3 great-grandchildren, James Laughlin, Amberlynn “Rosey” Laughlin and John Laughlin; and a lifetime of friends.
