Mr. Arthur Marshall, III

Passed 11/13/2025

“To be absent from the body is to present with the Lord.” My dad was a man who loved to smile, laugh and joke around. He departed this earthly world the same way, “Just pull the plug now, I’M READY.”

Arthur Clifford Marshall III began life on October 18, 1953, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and passed away on November 13, 2025, at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in High Point, North Carolina. He was the son of Bishop Arthur Marshall, Jr. from High Point, NC, and Mary Ann Marshall from Pittsburgh, PA.

He was preceded in death by both parents.

Arthur, favorably known as Art, graduated from Southwest High School in St. Louis, Missouri and from St. Louis University with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Political Science in 1975 and St. Louis University Law School in 1978. He was employed by B&C Associates for over 30 years.

He was a member of St. Stephen Metropolitan AME Zion Church in High Point where he served on the Steward Board and was a member of the choir.

Although Arthur (Art) had no biological sisters or brothers, he had two friends that were closer than any brother could be. He even introduced and referred to them as his brothers and best friends, Jolease Marshall (no relation to) and Rev. Wilbur Davis.

Arthur leaves behind to cherish his memories, his daughter, Allison Marshall, ex-wife, Phyllis Marshall, cousin Dr. Robert J. Brown (Joy), and many friends and associates.

It is without a doubt that Arthur was loved and will be missed tremendously. As his mother would say, “Thanks for the memories” rest in peace Art!

A celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Stephen Metropolitan AME Zion Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
