Glenda Renee Senay

07/31/1965 - 11/11/2025

With heavy hearts, we gather to remember Glenda Renee Senay, a vibrant soul who graced the lives of many for sixty years. Born on July 31, 1965, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, to the union of Virginia (Wedge) Hull and Glenn B Hull, Glenda’s journey among us ended unexpectedly on November 11, 2025, at the Youngstown campus of Mercy Healthcare, surrounded by the love she so freely gave.

Glenda, a Sharon High School graduate of ’83, embraced life with passion and purpose. She furthered her education at Laurel Technical Institution, however her nurturing spirit led her to become a nursing assistant and direct support professional where she touched countless lives in long-term care facilities. Community was everything to Glenda; she loved volunteering at the city building and was a cherished member of Saint John’s Episcopal Church. Whether it was organizing rummage sales, baking treats, or lending a hand at the food pantry, she made an impression upon everyone she met.

Her hands created warmth and love through crochet, gifting her family with handmade treasures that will forever hold memories. A true storyteller, she could draw us back into the past with her memories, all while dancing to the rhythm of her favorite music in her cozy home, filled with laughter and love. Glenda had an appreciation for hummingbirds, butterflies and shades of purple.

Glenda is remembered by her husband, Ronnie Senay; sons George Senay and Chase Senay, both of Sharon, and daughter Sarah Senay of Youngstown. Her cherished grandchildren Shawna Senay and Jurrell Perry Jr. will embrace the warmth of her legacy.

She leaves behind a vibrant family tapestry woven with love, including siblings Sherry Hutchinson of Transfer, Heather Hull of Warren, John Hull of Kentucky, and Garon (Marcie) Hull of Campbell, as well as her dear Aunt Esther Merat, who shared a special bond with her, along with countless family and friends who will fondly remember her.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents Belva & Frank Wedge, Lela & John Hull; brother-in-law Charley Hutchinson and nephew Brandon Norris. Glenda may have departed from our sight, but her spirit will forever dance in our hearts.

As Glenda is lovingly remembered, the Senay Family invites the community to celebrate her life during a planned memorial service at Saint John’s Episcopal Church, 226 W. State Street, Sharon. The family will receive friends from the community on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by the service at 11:00 AM. Rector Adam Trambley will serve as the celebrant, guiding the celebration to Glenda’s life.

At this time of intimate need and personal loss, the family of Glenda Renee Senay elected to entrust the Ministry of Comfort & Care, along with Transitional After-Care Arrangements to the J. E. Washington Funeral Services, 2234 Glenwood Avenue, Youngstown, Ohio, 330.782.8500.
