Mr. John Michael Bonola-Caballero

Passed 11/13/2025

Mr. John Michael "Mickie" Bonola-Caballero was called home by our Lord on November 13, 2025. A graduate of the NASCAR Technical Institute in Mooresville, North Carolina, John had a deep passion for cars—especially all things Ford—and for racing, as a proud member of the 336 Meets car club.

He also loved working with his hands, building and creating, and had a sharp eye for fashion. His favorite color was orange, and he found joy in life’s simple pleasures: spending time with friends—whether fishing, hanging out at car meets, watching mechanic videos on YouTube, or enjoying a hot and fresh Cook Out tray.

John was a resourceful and generous young man. Those closest to him, including his coworkers at Cisco, remember him for a phrase he often used to reassure and uplift others: “I got you.”

He is survived by his mother, Ana Caballero; his father, Bernardo Bonola-Diaz; his stepfather Cesar Wong; his brothers, Jose Velez, Bernard Bonola-Caballero, and Franklin Bonola; and his sisters, Gabriella Bonola and Jasmine Joachin.

Though his time with us was far too short, John lived with purpose, dressed with flair, and loved without hesitation. His light will continue to shine in every engine rev, every sunset glow, and every act of kindness inspired by his words: “I got you.” That’s how we’ll remember him.

Forever in orange, forever in motion, forever in our hearts.

We take comfort in knowing he now rests in the arms of the Lord, where peace and joy are eternal. Until we meet again, Mickie—your spirit rides with us.
