Mrs. Judith Marie Morgan Waden, born September 30, 1950, of High Point, NC transitioned from her earthly life and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at High Point Hospice of the Piedmont following a brief illness.
“Brown Sugar” as she was often called by family, and even as she answered the phone was known for her very infectious laughter. She had a strong love and relationship with her family and friends. She grew up in High Point with her very large family raised by her parents, William H. and Mozelle H. Morgan which precedes her in death, along with her husband, Henry Waden, son, Donelle Waden, younger sister, Janice Morgan Ellerbe, and one brother-in-law, Johnny McArthur.
Judy attended High Point City Schools and there after finding employment to help raise her younger siblings after the passing of her mother at a very young age. She was employed for many years at Wood Mark Originals before falling ill.
Judy leaves to cherish her beautiful memories are her very devoted children, Julia Renee Morgan, Brian Cornelius Waden, and Johnnie Waden, of High Point; grandchildren, Brandon Titus, Trayvon Waden, Nasir Douglas, Dontae Morgan, Janelle Steele, and Bryson Waden; great-grandchildren, Shamir, Eleani, and Acieyon; siblings: William H. (Linda) Morgan Jr, Frances Morgan McArthur, Keith Morgan, Nancy Morgan, Donald Morgan; brother-in-law, Elder Michael Ellerbe, Iris Morgan Cole, Dennis Morgan, Angela Morgan, and Mary M (Frank) Chadmon, of High Point; there is a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends that she loves dearly.
There is honor in knowing she is peacefully resting safe in His arms surrounded by His love.
We honor and trust you Father as you had the last say, and we will carry on with love, comfort and strength in our hearts to go forward for our loved one.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at New Beginnings Full Gospel Ministries, 215 Fourth Street High Point, NC, officiated by Elder Michael A. Ellerbe. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC.
