It is with deepest sympathy that we announce the passing of Mr. Robert William Gaines, Sr., age 67, of Mableton, Georgia who entered into his eternal rest on November 15, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Turner Chapel A.M.E. Church 492 North Marietta Parkway NE Marietta, Georgia 30060.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved brother, Robert William Gaines, Sr. Robert transitioned peacefully on November 15, 2025, at his home surrounded by loved ones.

A viewing and family hour will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hanley Shelton Funeral Home, 473 Lawrence Street, Marietta, Georgia 30060. The Celebration of Life Service will take place on Friday, November 21st at Turner Chapel A.M. E. Church 492 North Marietta Parkway NE Marietta, Georgia 30060. Viewing will be held from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM upon which the Service will begin. For those unable to attend in person, livestreaming will be available and the link will be shared soon.

The Interment will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the Gaines Cemetery in South Pittsburgh, Tennessee.

At this time, the family kindly asks for your understanding and privacy as we navigate this period of grief. Please note that the family home will not be open to visitation. We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support extended to us during this difficult time. For family and friends traveling from out of town, the host hotel is the Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Hotel & Conference Center located at 500 Powder Springs Street, Marietta, Georgia 30064.
