OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Community Chapel Church of God In Christ, 1606 W. College Ave., Opelousas, LA for Mr. Lawrence Guillory, 87, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Interment will be held in Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas, LA.

Rev. Frank L. Ford, Pastor of Community Chapel Church of God In Christ, will be officiating the funeral service.

Mr. Guillory’s memories are being cherished by: his sister, Frances Johnson of Inglewood, CA; his caregiver (the daughter he never had), Dianne Washington of Opelousas, LA; six grandchildren, Latosha Maupin, Ashley Mayo, Rondale Hunt, Brittany Guillory, Alexis Guillory and Carl Guillory, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his wife, Gertie Guillory; his parents, Earnest and Alice Guillory; one son, Carl Guillory, Sr.; and two brothers, Joseph Guillory and Eugene Guillory.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Community Chapel Church of God In Christ.
