Baby Makenzie Faith King, beloved daughter of Kimberly King and Tremayne King, was born sleeping on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at UNC Rockingham Health Care in Eden, North Carolina.
Though her earthly journey was brief, Makenzie’s presence brought immeasurable love to her family. She touched many hearts before she ever opened her eyes, and her memory will forever remain a cherished blessing to all who awaited her arrival with love.
Makenzie was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents Robert and Annie Mae Woody, Ernest Preston, and Samuel Mitchell Watkins; her paternal grandfather Autry King; paternal great-grandparents Lester and Arnetha King and Charles Giles; and her maternal aunt Latonia Dickerson.
She leaves to forever cherish her precious memory her loving parents, Tremayne and Kimberly King; her devoted sisters, Gabrielle, Aviana, and her twin sister MaKenna King; maternal grandparents, Pastor Avery and Pamela Preston; maternal great-grandmother, Claudia Preston; paternal grandmother, Theressa King; and paternal great-grandmother, Adelene Giles. She is also lovingly remembered by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
A graveside service to honor Makenzie’s life has been rescheduled to Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 12:00 noon, at Hairston Family Cemetery, 780 Martin Lane, Axton, Virginia. Elder Tremayne King will serve as Eulogist.
