Alafagoes Coleman, 61, son of Mrs. Sarah Stenson Coleman and the late Mr. Willie James Coleman, Sr. was born September 30, 1964 in Macon County, Alabama.

He confessed Christ and united with Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Opelika, Alabama.

“Battle Axe”, as he was affectionately known by family and friends attended Tuskegee High School. He was a very creative skilled brick mason and loved working with his hands. Not only did he enjoy working with his hands, but he also took great pleasure in dressing sharply.

On Thursday, November 13, 2025, he departed this life at Baptist East in Montgomery, Alabama. He was preceded in death by: his father, Willie James Coleman, Sr.; brother, Willie James Coleman, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Sarah Coleman of Tuskegee, AL; one sister, Katrena (Tracey) Turner of Madison, AL; four aunts, Susie Stenson, Letha Stenson Haupert both of Auburn, AL, Ruby (James) Morton of Charlotte, NC and Rosie Stenson of Opelika, AL; fiancé, Valeria Kellom of Montgomery, AL; one niece, Nekitta (Clay) Shaw of Madison, AL; one nephew, Marcus Turner of Madison, AL; one great-niece, Paisley Shaw of Madison, AL; a host of other relatives and friends.
