Obituary For Bob Gerald Allgood

MR. BOB GERALD ALLGOOD - Age 91, of LaFayette, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at CHI Memorial Hospital Georgia. He was born August 19, 1927 and was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Annie Daisy Johnson Allgood, Sr., sisters, Anna Bell Ponder, Louise Underwood, and Mildred Ponder, and brothers, Marshall Allgood, Jr., Johnny Allgood, William “Billy” Allgood, Tommie Allgood, and Freddie Allgood. He was a Veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors are his aunt, Frances Stevens of Dalton, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Joyce Allgood, Joanne Allgood, and Jennifer Allgood Salmon, all of LaFayette, Georgia; special nephew and caregiver, Russell Underwood; special cousins and caregivers, Reatha Carreathers, Faye Webb Ramsey, of LaFayette, Renee Baker of Ringgold, Georgia, and Gene Stevens of Tunnel Hill, Georgia; special friends, Noreen Posely, Mrs. Albert Evans, and Terri Moore of Chattanooga, Tennessee whose love enriched his life; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Happy Home Baptist Church, N. Chattanooga Street, LaFayette, Georgia, 30728, with Rev. Terrance Hambrick, officiating. His remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Monday after 11:00 A.M. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service. Interment, LaFayette Cemetery.
