Edna Austin

A graveside service for Mrs. Edna Austin, 81, of Anniston, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at White Plains Community Cemetery, with the Reverend Eric Snider officiating. Survivors include her sons, Pete Austin and William Joseph Austin (Amy Leann); grandson, Caleb Austin; sisters, Callie McLeod and Josephine Parker; brother, Wilburn Whatley; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 40 years, Glen Osborn Austin, Jr.; grandson, Joshua Hunter Austin; and sisters, Opal Doss and Vivian Harbin. Edna was a loving wife and devoted mother who spent her life caring for her family. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, had a fondness for antiques, and was an exceptional cook who loved preparing meals for those she loved. Deeply spiritual and selfless, she always put others before herself and cherished her sons and grandsons above all.
