Homegoing Services Celebrating the Life of Mother Idell Rankin Turner, of Decatur, will be held Monday, November 24, 2025; 11:00 A.M. at Bethel Original Freewill Baptist Church, 1890 Second Avenue Decatur, Georgia 30032. Reverend Victor Speakman, Officiating. The remains will be placed in state at 9:30 A.M. Interment Kennedy Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

She is survived by her children,Clodell Stevenson (Willie), of Decatur, Georgia, Betty Turner Ross (Selwyn), of Brooklyn, New York, Dorothy Gray (Carl), of Forest, Mississippi, and Homer Lee Turner, of Jackson, Mississippi; three adopted children, Bernice Dorsey Robinson (Rod), of McDonough, Georgia, Mae Snellson, of Locust Grove, Georgia, and Alfonso Ellis, of Decatur, Georgia; brother, Frazier Rankin (Mae Lizzie); sister, Clotie Rankin; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren; seventy great great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 10:30 A.M.
