Obituary For Jerome Phoenix

Jerome Jose Phoenix "Uncle Ronie", 89, of Glenside Dr., Harrisburg, transitioned into eternal life on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Spring Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Steelton, son of the late Wilmer and Blanche V. (Miller) Phoenix, a graduate of the Old Steelton High School, a U. S. Air Force Veteran, retired from the former New Cumberland Army Depot, active in the Edgemont Community, mentored their youth and loved his family deeply and the time he spent with them. In addition to his parents, Jerome was preceded in death by his seven brothers and his only sister. He leaves to celebrate his life, his wife of more than 50 years, Mildred Phoenix; his special nephew, Vincent "Sarge" House II (Charlene) and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. His life will be celebrated on Friday, January 18 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton with viewing 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. and burial in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
