Obituary For Kaliyah M. Thompson

Kaliyah Thompson, affectionately known as, “LeLe” was born in Fort Pierce, Florida on May 18, 2000 to Edward Thompson and Latricia Woulard. She was christened at three months of age at Northside Church of God and was later baptized at Mount Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, at the age of eight. During her first few years of life, Kaliyah endured many trials and tribulations. God is a keeper. To God be the glory.

Throughout the years, she continued to blossom into the beautiful flower God intended her to be. She matriculated through St.Lucie and Indian River County School Districts, reaching her senior year at Vero Beach High School.

Kaliyah’s dream was to attend the University of Central Florida to become a Neo-Natal Nurse. While on the road of success, She recently received her CNA certification through Treasure Coast Technical College.

Kaliyah was an active member within her community. She completed/graduated from the ASCEND program and was an active member of the Precious Pearls Teen Club (both sponsored by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Eta Eta Omega Chapter). She was also a dedicated employee of Wendy’s and took much pride in her work and customer service; being awarded May 2018 Employee of Month.

Kaliyah was a lover of life and an angel to those who knew her. She loved to dance, laugh and most of all, she loved to attend church and worship God.

On Monday January 14, 2019, God called her home, plucking our beautiful earthly flower. While answering His call, she leaves to cherish her memory: her nurturing parents, Edward Thompson, Jr. and Latricia Woulard and Lamont Woulard; her supportive grandparents, Willie and Bobbie Lampkin, Johnnie and Margaret Thornton, Kenny and Carolyn Woulard; her protective siblings, Edward L. Thompson, Jarius Thompson, Jordan Woulard, Malik Taylor, Moses Thompson, Wynter Thompson; her aunts, Jayla (Henry) Burson, Natasha Beatty, Lesa Sims, Sheila (Jerome) Denson, Sherry (Efrem) Harrell, Trystal Lampkin; her uncles, Jevelous (Gail) Toney, Johnny (Alisa) Thornton, Dywane (Terkedria) Henderson; Marlon (LaDonna) Ausby; her god-parents, Sheila (Jerome) Denson and Donna Phillips; and a host of loving great aunts/uncles, cousins, co-workers and friends.
