Linda Louise Brown Wright

09/18/1951 - 11/22/2025

Linda Brown Wright was born in Durham, North Carolina, to Robert Lee Brown and Myrtle Edwards. She was a proud graduate of Hillside High School's Class of '69.

After a brief period working at GTE, Linda dedicated 30 years to a career in the Sports Medicine Department at Duke University, from 1970 until her retirement in 2000. During her time at Duke, she met countless patients, legendary athletes, and world-renowned actors and actresses. Following her retirement from Duke, she continued to work for many years as an office manager at Marsh Heating and Air alongside her friend, Deborah Marsh.

Linda never met a stranger, always placing God first in her life, followed closely by her family.

Linda married her loving husband, Franklin P. Wright IV, on July 28, 2001, and they shared over 24 years of holy matrimony.

She is survived by her sons Erick Brown and Ron Johnson, and her grandsons Cordario Hargrove (Alexia), Alex Anderson, Caleb and Great Grandson Armani Hargrove; brother Tony Brown; nephews Sean Brown, Stephen Brown, John Wright, Jarel Wright, Brandon Wright, and Malcolm Moody; nieces Jessica Powell, Monica Powell, Brittany Wright, and Kyla Moody, and many more great nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law Darlene Wright Powell, Renée Wright, and Francine Moody; numerous relatives including the Gattis, Tyson, Justice, Edwards and Daye families; special friends Rhoda Jones and family, Charlene Gatewood, Everett and Jordan Gatewood, Deborah and Roland Marsh and the Coe family, and many more friends and family that deeply miss her.

Linda may not be here in the flesh, but she was ALWAYS be there in spirit. Thank you GOD for allowing her to touch our lives, we love you!
