Tammy Michelle Tucker was born on July 11, 1964, in Perry, Georgia to Claude Tucker, Jr. and Ida Mae Tucker, who raised her with love, strength, and unwavering support. From a young age, Tammy displayed a vibrant spirit, a kind heart, and a natural ability to bring joy to those around her. When Tammy was young, her family moved to Warner Robins, where she attended public schools. After high school, Tammy held several jobs. She was a food nutrition worker at Warner Robins High School, Tucker Head Start, and Elberta Health Care. She also worked as a home health aide, helping to care for her ailing father in his later years.
She was the sixth of seven children. She met and fell in love with Clarence Canion, and they had one child, a daughter. Though she had one child of her own, Tammy helped raise many children, in her family and in the neighborhood. As a caregiver to many of her nieces and nephews, she kept them happy and fed. However, she is the reason that many of them will never eat baloney, beans and weenies, canned ravioli, or sphagettiOs ever again.
Tammy enjoyed shopping and relaxing on the front porch with her family and friends. She also enjoyed listening to southern soul music, especially Sir Charles Jones, as she sipped on Martell and Diet Coke.
Tammy was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Canion, her father and mother, Claude
and Ida Tucker, and her nephew, Derrick Stephens.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Daughter; ShyKegia Canion (Luis); Grandchildren; Carsyon
Canion, MaKenzie Canion, and MaKenley Canion. Siblings; Mary Davis, Bennie Tucker, Annie Tucker (Kent), Vicky Tucker (Harold), Bernice Tucker, and Brenda Tucker (Curtis). Bonus Grandchildren; Ransym Hernandez, Honesty Hernandez, Brooklyn Hernandez, and Hunter Hernandez. God sister; Rosalind Ward. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
