Mrs. Daphiney Eyvonn Merritt Jones, of Panama City, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at VITAS in Panama City, Florida.

She was a graduate of Grand Ridge High School.

Homegoing Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM from the sanctuary of Greater Buckhorn Missionary Baptist Church located at 4691 Hwy 1622 in Marianna, Florida where the Reverend Orenza Waddell, Jr. is the pastor with Elder Curtis Lindesay, officiating.

Memorialization will be by cremation.

Mrs. Jones will lie in repose at the church from 12:00 Noon until time for the service.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish a lifetime of fond, yet precious memories, a loving and devoted family:

Father: Reuben Merritt, Jr. of Marianna, Florida

Three Sons: Torrius Boles, Chavorez Williams and Jacoreyon Jones all of Panama City, Florida

Two Daughters: Destiny Denson of Alabama and Karionda Wilkerson of Marianna, Florida

One Sister: Tammy N. Merritt Gardner of Atlanta, Georgia

One Brother: Reuben Merritt, III, of Tallahassee, Florida

Nine Grandchildren, Two Great-Grandchildren And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.
