October 16, 1939 - December 5, 2025

Mrs. Elsie Mae Martin, age 86, peacefully transitioned on December 5, 2025, at UT Tyler (East Texas Medical Center).

She was born in El Dorado, Arkansas, to Ruail Dunn, Sr. and Lena Gertrude Richmond Dunn-Ivory, both of whom preceded her in death.

Elsie received her education at Washington High School in El Dorado, Arkansas, and later became a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where she faithfully served and cared for many throughout her career.

Elsie was also preceded in death by her beloved sons, Kenneth Wayne Curley and Ollie James Curley; one great-grandson; and her brothers, Ruail “R.L.” Dunn, Jr. and Willie Lee Ray.

She was united in holy matrimony to Billy Don Martin, and they shared 25 years of marriage. He survives her and lovingly cherishes her memories.

She leaves to cherish her life and legacy her daughter, Angela (Schwaan) Frazier; her grandchildren, Tangelia (Thaddeous) Frazier, Johnathan (Beunka) Ford, Corey (Christy) Frazier, Shawn Frazier, Rickey (Shanethia) Samuels, James (Aleah) Curley, and Olivia “Marchete” (Andrea) Leavy; fifteen great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sisters, Elma McKinney and Glinda Faye Farmer; her nieces, Anita (Herbert) Coulter, Stephanie Jefferson, and Desha Farmer; and her nephews, Vincent Wallace, Michael Dunn (Carla), Brandon Curley, Howard Farmer, and Jermain Farmer.

In addition, Elsie leaves behind four children of love—Vanita Roberson, Mikyha Martin, and Tavitrich Martin—along with nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren through these loving bonds. She is further survived by her aunt, Catherine Swift and a host of cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was a devoted and faithful member of the Pentecostal Church of Pittsburg, later known as Cornerstone Apostolic Church, where she served diligently until her health began to fail. Her life was a testament to faith, service, and love, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
