Mr. Asher Lucas, 29, of Shelby, NC, passed away on October 15, 2025. He was the son of the late Jerry Lucas and Cynthia Elaine Wallace Lucas. Asher was born on April 2, 1996, in Miami, Florida.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Israel.

Asher was the youngest of nine children. He leaves to cherish his memory, three brothers, Scean, Ahem, Enoch; and four sisters, Colleen, Beba, Daleth and Mikhal; along with his uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Fondly known by his mother as “Koshi”, Asher always wore the biggest, warmest, and pleasant smile wherever he'd go and would laugh at the simplest little light-hearted things. He didn't seem to meet a stranger and was friendly to those he met. Asher thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, and working with his hands. As he traveled throughout his journey here, he lived life simple and in the moment. Though he met some challenges he would keep pressing and adapting in his way to the things that confronted him.

Asher's life here was brief, and there is the assurance he did make the ultimate decision to choose Christ as his Savior and Redeemer. We rest knowing he is finally at rest from this life's journey.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Cemetery.
