Ms. Bernice Moultry, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed December 3, 2025. Funeral service will be Sunday, December 14, 2025, from Jericho A.M.E. Zion Church at 12:00 P.M. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
Bernice Irvin Moultry was born to the late Ross and Hattie Irvin on May 22, 1942. She received Christ at an early age and joined Jericho A.M.E. Zion Church.
Bernice served on the Trustee Board, sung in the Senior Choir for many years and was a member of the Farmers Helping Hand Society. She attended and graduated from G.W. Carver High School. She worked for many years as a seamstress and later worked for the State of Alabama Department of Labor until retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Hattie Irvin; brothers, Willie James Irvin and Lee G. Irvin; sisters, Minnie R. Irvin and Inez Lewis; and great grandson, Jakaree D. Zeigler.
She leaves to cherish her memories; daughter, Michelle I. Strickland; son, Algenon J. Moultry; grandchildren, Janelle Sellers, Brianna (Marquis) Lewis, Amaiya Moultry; great grandchildren, Janilah Sellers, Jataelyn Sellers, Bryce Lewis, Nova Lewis and Aziyah Moss; sister, Eunice I. Goodson; brothers, Ross (Cordelia) Irvin, Jr. and Norman (Gracie) Irvin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
