Ms. Kesher Laverne Payne departed this life on December 5, 2025. She was born May 21, 1959 to George Payne and Mattie Byrd Payne. Kesher lived a life marked by resilience, love and unwavering devotion to family.

She was a steady, loving presence to all who knew her someone who offered comfort in difficult times and joy in everyday moments. Her strength, compassion, and gentle wisdom touched many lives, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished forever.

She is preceded in death by her son Sharay Payne, whose memory remained close to Kesher's heart throughout her life.

Ms. Kesher is survived by her beloved mother Mattie Payne, one brother Gary Payne and children Erika Payne (Angela), Mory Payne (Ashley) and Justin Payne (Alice).

Kesher spirit continues to live on in the stories she shared, the lessons passed down, and the love held in the hearts of family and friends.
