Ralph Mobley, Jr. was born on March 17, 1937, in Quitman, Georgia, to the late Ralph Mobley, Sr. and Rosa Mae Mobley. He passed away on November 26, 2025, at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Aaron Mobley and Elisha Mobley.
Mr. Mobley attended Brooks County Schools and later retired from the City of Quitman, where he worked diligently. After retirement, he pursued his passion for raising cattle.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Mildred Mobley, who also resides in Quitman, Georgia. Together, they had three sons: Wilbert Mobley, Sr. (Sandra), Lamar Mobley, Sr. (Ella), and Reginald Mobley, Sr. (Sharon), all of Quitman, Georgia. He is also survived by two sisters, Edna Collins of Quitman, Georgia, and Ruth Nelson of Burford, South Carolina; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a special acknowledgement to his great great grandson Demonte Brown who took great care of him; Additionally, he leaves behind his sisters-in-law Ethel Mobley of Quitman, Georgia, Mildred Mobley of Lake Park, Georgia, brother-in-law, Jimmie Stokes of Quitman, Georgia, sisters-in-law Ethel Mobley of Quitman, GA, and a host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Funeral services were Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Hope Baptist Church in Quitman, Georgia with Pastor James Huewitt, Sr. officiating. Burial followed at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Quitman.
