Charles Walton

Charles (Chuck) Gooden Walton was born on January 18, 1957, on the southside of Chicago in the Park Manor neighborhood in Chicago, Illinois. He was the only son and eldest child of three to the union of Olanders and Rosetta Walton. Chuck attended Brownell Elementary School and Shiloh Academy High School and later earned his GED. Chuck was very good with his hands as a young teen and worked several jobs beginning his career at US Steel and various carpentry and automotive repair jobs. In 1985, he married his longtime girlfriend, Barbara Brussard-Walton whom he had known all of his life growing up. They had a beautiful wedding and took on the role of father to Orval. Together they had a beautiful son, Charles Walton, II. Although their marriage ended, they remained very close friends. In 2003, Chuck was blessed with another son, Kyle Walton who is presently in the US Army doing his tenure for our country in Korea. Chuck was best known for his hearty laugh, enjoyment of hanging out with his friends from the neighborhood, special moments with his son Charles and grandson, Isaiah and enjoying his life. Chuck is survived by his sisters, Denise (Walton) Fowler, Olandreia Walton, leaves behind sons, Orval Jones Jr, Charles Walton II, Kyle Walton, and grandson Isaiah along with extended family and friends.
