Henry Francell Perkins

With heartfelt love, we celebrate the life and legacy of Henry Francell Perkins, who peacefully departed this life on December 4, 2025, at his home in New Canton, Virginia.

Born on April 21, 1948, he was a man of quiet strength, steady presence, and deep devotion to those he loved. He was preceded in death by his parents, Annie Elizabeth Cunningham Perkins and Henry Perkins; his sisters Mary Chambers, Alice Sedgwick, and Lucille Brown; and his brothers Roger Perkins, William Perkins, Eddie Perkins, and John Perkins.

He is survived by: his children, Marlo Perkins-Harris (Keith Harris) of Scottsville, VA, Artika Churcher of Little Canada, Minnesota, Joanna Perkins of Norfolk, VA, and Marcell Ross of Lynchburg, VA; his grandchildren, Kadeem Harris, Khadiji Harris, Araya Churcher, Amber Churcher, Aubriella Churcher, Ayanna Churcher, Marziyah Faith Hester-Ross, Marzayah ZayLee Hester-Ross, and Nalysia Jackson; great-grandchildren, Ka'Myiah Harris, Kalani Harris, Kyson Henson, and Kyli Henson.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his siblings, Ethel Taylor, Grace Chambers; along with many nieces and nephews, including two devoted nieces, Sharon Jones and Laura Booker.

He also leaves behind his loving and devoted partner, Wilhelmina Watkins. The family is deeply grateful for the love and support she shared with him.

A special acknowledgment goes to his dear friend, Lionel Bowles for his loyalty, brotherhood, and support over the years.
