She leaves behind a legacy painted with kindness, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to nurturing youth, both of her own heartbeat and others, from within the community.

Laeh was the radiant class valedictorian of Watkins Christian Academy, a title reflecting not just her academic prowess but her devotion to uplifting those around her. Laeh furthered her academic pursuits at Youngstown State University. She successfully obtained her Child Development Associate credentials after completing the rigorous process reflecting her skillfulness and competence as a passionate advocate for early learning and literacy.

Laeh’s fondness for children and youth was reflected in her career path as an early childhood educator for the pre-school programs at the Center for Community Empowerment and Banana Darlings. Her commitment to education and growth extended beyond the classroom, touching the lives of many young hearts.

Most recently. Laeh was a behavioral specialist providing interventions for the youthful consumers at Belmont Pines Hospital. She was an ardent advocate for troubled youth and shared a dream with aspirations of opening her own group home.

Laeh embraced life with open arms, savoring each moment like the pages of a book, conquering new stories week by week. Most recently she discovered her passion for reading. Karaoke nights showcased her joyful heart, where she sang with abandon, filling rooms with good vibes and energy. Game nights were a cherished tradition, where her laughter rang out, enveloping her family in warmth and joy.

But above all, Laeh’s greatest triumphs unfolded as a devoted partner & soul mate to Garett Johnson Sr. and their children—Jarett, Jeremy, Jeremiah, Ja'Laeh, Ja'Leah, Garett Jr., and Jason—being the proudest jewels in her crown. She thrived on their smiles, her joy serving as a testament to her boundless love.
