Cecil Wesley Carson Jr., 89 of Bowie, TX, passed away Monday, December 15th, 2025.
Cecil was born June 8, 1936, in Decatur, TX to Cecil Wesley Sr. and Beatrice (Walker) Carson. He graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1954. On December 22, 1959, Cecil married Patsy “Earlene” Deaton in Bridgeport. As a young man he served his country in the National Guard. In 1964 Cecil graduated from North Texas College but later went back to school and earned his master’s in education. He taught for Poolville I.S.D. and served as principal for Irving I.S.D. Throughout his life he enjoyed playing tennis with Earlene, golfing and softball. The couple also loved going on cruises, traveling all over the world together.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his son John Craig Carson, and his sister Billie Jean Duckworth.
Cecil is survived by his wife Earlene Carson of Bowie; grandchildren, Jordan Carson Baker and Heather Elizabeth Carson of Little Rock, AR; nephew, Jimmy Duckworth of Grand Prairie, TX; and niece Carolyn Sue Fix of Leonard, TX.
Family has chosen arrangements with cremation. Arrangements entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie, TX.
