West Gadsden- Announces the passing of Mr. Ahmad Rashad Cattling,38,Gadsden, Passed away, Wednesday, December 17,2025. Mr. Cattling is survived by his family. We ask that you please keep this family in your heart and prayers during their time of bereavement.

Ahmad Rhashad Cattling was born March 24, 1987, to the late Robert Charles and Berta Lucille (Crump) Cattling.

At an early age Rhashad confessed Christ. He embraced his spirituality. His faith was a guiding light throughout his life as he continued to serve and grow. In 2005, he graduated from Etowah High School. For the last fifteen years, he worked for Southern Commercial Laundry.

On December 17, 2025, he transitioned from this earthly life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Berta Cattling; grandparents, Sylvester (Sr.) and Bera Cattling, William and Lucille Crump, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Rhashad leaves to cherish his memories, one brother, Levar Bernard Cattling; one sister-in-law, Courtney Cattling; three nieces, I’shiah, and Ensley Cattling and Alexis Bishop, all of Gadsden, AL; four aunts, Annette Coleman of Gadsden, AL, OmaLynn Payne of Odenville, AL, Barbara Culp and Jeanette Cattling, both of Altoona, AL; three uncles, Sylvester Cattling, Jr. of Altoona, AL, John Payne of Oneonta, AL and Ray Anthony Coleman of Gadsden, AL and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

In person signing of the register book & viewing will be 3pm-5pm Friday, December 26, 2025 in the Chapel of West Gadsden Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, December 27, 2025 in West Gadsden Chapel.
