James Larry Murphy Sr, 79, of Arlington, TN passed away on December 19, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
James was born on May 4, 1946 to Robert Murphy and Lovie Deberry in Chicago, Illinois. He was the husband Valerie Murphy.

The family will receive friends for a visitation Friday, December 26, 2025 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at R.S. Lewis and Sons Funeral Home 3651 Austin Peay Hwy, Memphis, TN 38128. Celebration of Life will be Saturday, December 27, 2025 11:00am at Friendship United Methodist Church, 6220 Highway 51, Millington, TN 38053.
Interment will be Wednesday, December 31, 2025 10:00am in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis, TN 38125
