Eddie V Dangerfield, Jr. Was born on October 2, 1966 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. And transitioned on December 14, 2025.

He will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, kind heart, and the joy he brought to everyone who knew him.

A proud graduate of Southern University A&M College of Sciences and Engineering, Eddie carried his Jaguar pride with honor and distinction. He was deeply dedicated to his career, known as a hardworking and reliable professional who took pride in everything he did. A passionate advocate for mentorship and economic growth, he paired an unwavering work ethic with a warm, personable spirit, never meeting a stranger and always leaving a lasting impression.

Outside of work, Eddie, had a true love for rollercoasters, always chasing the thrill, excitement, and adventure they offered. That same zest for life showed in the way he laughed, connected with others, and embraced every moment.

Family meant everything to Eddie. While he did not have children of his own, he poured love, guidance, and support into the lives of his nieces and nephews, embracing them wholeheartedly. He also cherished God sons, Miles and Charles, loving and supporting them as his own. His role as a father figure, mentor, and constant source of encouragement will never be forgotten.

Above all, Eddie will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the memories he leaves behind.

Eddie is survived by his three siblings, Joyce James, Lisa Dunbar, (Karmel), Cicely Evans- Albert (Gene) and five nieces and nephews, Kenneth Francois, Jr., Melody Evans, Kimberly Evans (Terrell), Tavia James, Karmel Dunbar Jr, and Katrina Dunbar. Six great nieces and nephews, Dre'lan Evans, Madison Evans, Dylan Evans, Davyn Evans, Soleil Woods and Solara Woods. He was preceded in death by his parents Constance K. Evans and Eddie Dangerfield, Sr.


A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 185 Eddie Robinson Senior Drive, Baton Rouge, LA beginning at 3:00 pm. Services Entrusted to Hall Davis and Son Funeral Services.
