Funeral service for Lucille Peavey, 87, of Dadeville, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church, 835 Valley Road, Camp Hill, AL, 36850 with interment in the church cemetery, Reverend Lajavier Bryant will officiate.

Mrs. Peavey, who passed away Friday, December 19, 2025 at Brown Nursing Home in Alexander City, Alabama, was born January 15, 1938 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, December 26, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Mrs. Peavey will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

She leaves to cherish her memory: three children, Lillian (Lonzo) Bridges of Dadeville, AL, James (Cindy) Peavey of Brownwood, TX and Anthony Peavey of Opelika, AL; fourteen, grandchildren, Damien Peavey, Jacquetta Dowdell, Santesha Dowdell, Zocario Bridges, Apryl Peavey, Chelsea Peavey, Jadice Peavey, Jalen Peavey, Bryshonda Stroud, LaKendra Peavey, Trevon Peavey, Courtney Peavey, Cameron Peavey and Tarae Nash; sixteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Nelda Shaw; one brother, William Greathouse, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
