Donald Lynn Landers, 84, of Sunset, TX died at his home on Sunday, December 7, 2025, after a valiant battle with cancer.
Burial will be at Sunset Cemetery with a memorial to be held later.
Don was born on October 27, 1941, to Arthur Van Buren Landers and Izora Barrington Landers in Taylor County, Tx. He grew up in the Ovalo and Tuscola area and graduated from Jim Ned High School in 1959. Don moved to the DFW area and settled in Azle, TX. He traveled the country working and building power plants after obtaining his Master Plumber’s license. Don owned his own business, Landers Plumbing, and was in business for 54 years serving Azle, Springtown and Bowie. He loved working and served many customers over several decades. He was proud to be the oldest active Master Plumber in the state of Texas when he retired last year at the age of 83. Don loved deer hunting on the home place in Ovalo, TX. Don was incredibly proud of his family and had a witty sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.
Don was preceded in death by both parents, siblings-A.V., Eldon, and T.O. Landers, Charlene Stephens, and Joyce Upton and wife-Mae Landers and fiancée, Peggy Mann.
Don is survived by daughters, Tonya (Brad) Bradford, and Beverly; stepson, Donnie (Patty) Upchurch; grandchildren, Adrian (Shiloh) Childress, Clint (Jodi) Bradford, Jeremiah (Magan) Bradford and Bailey (Lance) Dokum and Braden (Dorothy) Blair, Brandy (Tee) Brown and Kenny Perry; great-grandchildren, Tate Bradford, Cade Childress, Tyce Bradford, Georgia Bradford, Madison Childress, Jed Bradford, Boone Bradford, Lola Bradford, and Bear Bradford, and Adam Dokum; Step-great grandkids, Haley Stacy, Jalen Brown, Tori, Tyler, Trent, Emma, Elisha, and Tymone Perry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
