It is with great sorrow that S. Jones F. and C. announce the passing of Mr. Richard Allen Hammiel. A former resident of Halifax County, NC, Mr. Hammiel peacefully entered into eternal rest on December 17, 2025, while living in Washington, DC.

Washington, DC Funeral Rites: The services to commemorate his life and legacy will commence with a viewing from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 3, 2026. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary of Southeast Christian Fellowship Church, located at 3140 Q Street SE, Washington, DC 20020.

North Carolina Funeral Rites: Mr. Hammiel's services will conclude on Friday, January 9, 2026, with Committal Services at the graveside of Cedarview Cemetery, at 248 Meyer Street, Enfield, North Carolina.
