Douglas “Doug” Randolph Millner, 77, resident of Greenwood and husband of Mildred Watkins Millner, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Self Regional Healthcare.
Born October 3, 1948, in Martinsville, Virginia, he was a son of the late Samuel Millner and Gertrude Nance Millner. Doug proudly served his country in the United States Army and was retired from Ascend, where he worked for 10 years. He had a love for riding his motorcycle and was a member of Shiloh Way of the Cross Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home; two daughters, Sherikka M. Hairston of Ruffin, NC, and Monica M. Brandon of Martinsville, VA; four grandsons, K’sime Millner, K’saun Carter, Paris Jamison, and Vegas Jamison; one great-granddaughter, Paradise Myers; and two sisters, Carolyn Hairston (Mike) of Martinsville, VA, and Juanita King of Atlantic City, NJ. He is also survived by his best friend, Big Mike Carr.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Wallace Millner, Harold Millner, and Melvin Millner; and three sisters, Janie Gravely, Dena Watkins, and Gloria Jean Hodge.
A celebration of life for Mr. Douglas “Doug” Millner where the family will be receiving friends will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Hairston Funeral Home, 301 Fayette Street, Martinsville, VA 24112.
