CHURCH POINT– Visitation service will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Infant Taylen Artis, who entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Acadia St. Landry Hospital.

Taylen’s memories are being cherished by: his parents, Nila Augustine and Ed Artis, Jr.; one brother, Tylen Artis; one sister, Tylah Artis; maternal grandparents, Andrea Riggs of Church Point and Dorris Augustine of Arnaudville; paternal grandparents, Earla Jones and Ed Artis, Sr. both of San Antoino, TX; maternal great grandparents, Joy McNeal and Larry J. Levier of Leonville; paternal great grandmother, Maria Artis of San Antoino, TX; two aunts, Nijah Augustine of Church Point, LA, Niyah Augustine, of Opelousas, LA, one uncle, Nyllean Riggs of Church Point, LA; and a hosts aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by: great grandfather, Autor Reggie; great grand mother, Mary Jane Augustine; great great grandparents, Irene Tyler Levier, Leroy J. Levier, Mary Martha Stein, Clarence Reed, and Lonnie Stein; and great great aunts, Cynthia M. Levier and Ulidelay Augustine.
