Bettye Jewel Cheatham Ball

Funeral service for Bettye Jewel Cheatham Ball 92, will be Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 3:30 pm at the Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Ceary Embry, officiating. Interment will follow in Eden Hills Cemetery. Mrs. Ball passed away on December 28, 2025 at Highland Rehab and Wellness, Birmingham, AL. She graduated from Cobb Avenue High School in the Class of 1954. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church for the past 22 years, serving as the Mother of the Church, a Golden Member, and an active member of theMissionary Society. Mrs. Ball was employed with the Department of Human Resources for many years. Survivors include her siblings: Arthur Cheatham, Laura Johnson, and Earline Carter; nieces and nephews: Roger, Gaynail, Quinzell, Pierre, Lera, Elmer, Quinton, Becter, Darnell, Stephanie, Felisa, Anita, Jimmie, Malcolm, Clinton, Demarious, and Jacqueline, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Clinton Cheatham and Pearline Crenshaw Cheatham, siblings, Jettie Pearl Reed, Willie Cheatham, Eugene Cheatham, Otha Ned Cheatham, and Annie Lois Terry, brother in-law, Jimmie L.
