Funeral service for Ricky Stringer, 69, of Opelika, AL, will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday. January 3, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, Opelika, AL, 36801, Reverend Roger Jones will officiate.

Mr. Stringer, who passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama, was born February 5, 1956, in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, January 2, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

He leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Annie Stringer of Opelika, AL; three sisters, Mary Bullard, Betty Bentley both of Opelika, AL and Brenda Allen of Salem, AL; one brother, Lavan Stringer of Pheonix, AZ; one daughter, Treviana Ross of Montgomery, AL; one grandson, Kentravious Ross of Montgomery, AL; three aunts, Margaret Lee of Opelika, AL, Joe Ann (Freddie) Johnson of Columbus, GA and Dorothy Stringer of Opelika, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
