Frances Cecelia Dunlap, born on May 22nd 1947, in Whittier, California, passed away on January 1st, 2026 beside her loving husband, Page, who she leaves behind, along with her four sons; Christopher, Erik, Benjamin, and Andrew Dunlap. Frances was the oldest daughter of Mary and Joe Huizar. She was a loving sister to four siblings; her brothers, Danny and Michael, and her sisters Lydia and Rachel. She worked hard in her early years. Attending beautician school and working to support her family, even purchasing her first car and learning to drive at age 20.
Frances was well traveled, first by way of her carpenter father, who she followed along with as he took jobs across the West. Followed by her experiences as a devoted military spouse, supporting and raising her boys across global Air Force bases. They moved seventeen times in eighteen years, enriching their lives and gracing everyone she came across with her warm presence. Frances met her true love, Page, through her brother Danny, a fellow military man himself. Her sister Rachel recalls the day her brother had set Frances and Page up on their blind-date. Their love was instantaneous and strong, leading to a proposal after three months, and an unbreakable marriage. Four months later, Frances and Page moved to Northern California to begin a long-lasting partnership that thrived for 55 loving years.
Those who knew Frances will remember her for her smile, her love of music and film, and her incredible kindness. She was surrounded by loved ones her whole life, having four sons and seven grandchildren, officially making her the most patient woman you'd ever have the honor of meeting. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
The family will have a private service at a later date. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this time.
