Verlina Evans Massenburg, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on December 30, 2025, at the UNC Health Nash.

In honor of her life and legacy, a public viewing will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, January 2, 2026, in the Reposing Room of S. Jones Funerals and Cremations.

A Celebration of Life will occur at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Refuge Center, located at 4531 NC-43, Hollister, NC 27844.

Following the service, interment will take place at the Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery.
